IoT connectivity revenues show strong rise

Berg Insight reports that IoT managed service providers like 1GLOBAL, 1NCE, Aeris, Soracom, and others managed over 200 million cellular IoT connections by the end of 2024, generating €1.8 billion in annual revenues. The IoT connectivity market is rapidly evolving with the adoption of the SGP.32 eSIM standard and intelligent connectivity solutions like Viasat’s satellite IoT service and Soracom’s Connectivity Hypervisor, which offer greater flexibility and control. Cellular IoT module revenues saw double-digit growth in 2024, with 4.3 billion devices connected via cellular or LPWA networks, as the IoT ecosystem expands into new industries and applications.
